4 1/2" Tapered Cast Iron

4 1/2" TAPERED CAST IRON KEEPER for RIM LOCKS - REPRODUCTION - (33150) Nice cast iron keeper with tapered edges for some early rim lock designs. At one time we had large group of early D & M and other early tapered rim locks and only one keeper, so we had a number of them recast from the one we had as we knew it unlikely we would ever find the number we needed to complete sets. The keeper opening measures 4 1/2" along the the top opening, taper is very gradual to about 4 5/8" along the outer edges of the bottom opening. Screw holes are on 3 1/2" centers. The rim lock body shown in the pictures are not part of the offering but are pictured only for reference in helping to identify one of several locks the keeper will fit.
