Circa 1909-1929 Griswold Manufacturing Company Cast iron Skillet. Reference found on page 12 of The Book of Griswold & Wagner by Smith & Wafford (blue book). It is a thin-wall casting, with raised heat ring and flared reinforced top rim. This is a size number 7 skillet, measuring 9-7/8 inches in diameter, 10-9/16 inches from spout to spout, 2-1/16 inches in height and 14-5/8 inches long, from end of handle, across pan. It is a light pan, weighing 3 pounds 1.2 ounces. This is a great looking, well made pan in very good condition on the outer side. Its inner cooking surface has considerable pitting from rust, shown in detail on the last three photos provided. There are no chips, cracks or rust and the pan bottom sits perfectly flat with no warp, wobble or spin. This has been thoroughly cleaned of all grease rust and carbon by electrolysis and baked seasoned with vegetable shortening. Sixteen highly detailed photos have been posted for further description.
