Even after studying silhouette images of both the Labrador Retriever and Saint Bernard, I am unable to make a definitive determination of which breed this nutcracker is! This dog shaped cast iron nutcracker measures 5¼ inches tall, 9½ inches from nose to tail and the base measures 7¼ inches long by 4¾ inches wide. When you lift up on the tail lever the mouth opens up to insert the nut for cracking. This is marked on the underside of the tail with “24H”.
