English Wheel Metal Forming Cast Iron

ALVO Model 22 cast iron English wheel. The  frame material of this metal forming machine is CAST IRON. English wheel has 22  1/2" deep throat - meaning you can safely work a 50" piece of steel This is a bench top mount model that stands 25 inches tall . The large wheel is mounted on the  tapered end of the axle that is protrudes through the nose and the rear part of the frame. Nose part of the frame houses  2 ball bearings , while the rear part of the frame has 1 ball bearing . This combination provides easy rotation of the wheel for precise work flow process. The cast iron frame is stress revealed . This combination of heavy oversize cast iron frame for the dimensions of the machine is set to eliminate any possible movement of the upper nose part away from the vertical axis during the metal forming process.
