Iron supplement liquid is especially necessary for women who are iron deficient from expecting a child or playing sports. Consisting of ferrous sulfate, there are 220 milligrams of strength for every 5 mL (1 teaspoon). For best results, pour one 5-mL dose of liquid iron supplement into a glass of water or fruit juice and drink once per day. Included with this liquid is artificial and natural cherry flavoring for a sweeter taste. Each bottle contains 16 fluid ounces (473 mL) of liquid, making for close to 100 5-mL doses in every bottle.
