You are looking at a rare Griswold cast iron skillet No. 3 with the 'MEDIUM' block logo! It is my opinion that this size logo looks really good and balanced on a No.3 size pan. The medium style logo with just the ERIE, PA seems to be more difficult to find. It is marked simply as a 709 (no mold identifier) and has the #2 under the grooved handle. This pan sits flat on a granite surface with just the slightest tic, one piece of notebook paper under one corner is all that is needed to remedy. The back side of the pan looks great. The cook surface is pretty smooth overall with just a few minor vintage age spots. Lite utensil marks and s ome slight color variation on the cook surface should even out and darken as the pan is used and seasoned. It has been thoroughly cleaned, lightly seasoned, and is ready to go to work or be displayed! The skillet measures 6 1/2 inches across the top and 5 1/2 inches across the bottom. Thanks for looking!!
