Powder coating gives the pulls a high rust resistance, but the will eventually rust if exposed to water or extreme outside environments. The powder coat process works to prevent this as long as possible but take care to prevent scratches and damage that might speed up the formation of rust. Oiling the hardware can help delay this process.
