Gate Mark "Marietta" Cast Iron Skillet No. 9, Heat Ring, Fully Restored.
Skillet does have a wobble and will spend so that's not to use on glass top stove. Underside of Skillet has casting flaw / line that goes through the word Marietta as seen in photos. Smooth cooking surface with a couple of flea bites as seen in photo. Very light cast iron similar to what you would find in an Erie pan.
Skillet was manufactured in the late 1800s. Skillets marked “Marietta” are scarce, particularly the larger sizes No. 9 &10.
The name "Marietta" was created when two men developing side by side towns agreed to merge the towns together and created a new name by combining the names of their wives, Mary and Henrietta.
Mailed with USPS Priority as minimum. Full insurance included.
