You're looking at a brand new Seiwa / Kyoshin Elle 3mm or nine holes per inch (distance between the points of the iron) three prong stitching punch that's an excellent way to ensure your stitching is smooth and even (hole compatible with other Seiwa / Kyoshin Elle 3mm irons).
This high quality tool is used to punch holes in a precise diamond shape that is optimal for stitching leather. This high carbon steel tool is made in Japan to the highest standard and will last a lifetime. Most pricking irons are available in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 prong versions and are spaced in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm.
This Seiwa / Kyoshin Elle pricking iron is excellent as a stitch punch to ensure accurate and easy to sew holes are left in your leather. Please note this sizes are between the points of the prongs, this differs to the way Craft Sha hole are measured (distance between the edges of the prongs). Seiwa irons are compatible with Craft sha using the following data: Craft Sha 1.5mm = Seiwa 3mm, Craft Sha 2mm = Seiwa 4mm, Craft Sha 2.5mm = Seiwa 5mm, Craft Sha 3mm = Seiwa 6mm

Please note always use a soft headed hammer (never metal) and tap it into your leather work gently, when removing, always pull it out of your leatherwork straight, never shift it side to side to loosen it or this could snap the prongs. Avoid using leather that is so thick it makes removal difficult. If you work with leather that is thick enough to make removal difficult then a wider pricking iron is recommended.
Please note the size is compatible with other 3mm Seiwa / Kyoshin Elle Stitching Punches and nippers, 1.5mm Craft Sha Pricking Irons, or other nine holes per inch diamond hole pricking irons only.
