Vintage Antique Cast Iron Horse Fly, Doorstop, Paperweight, Or Boot Jack. You Hold down the front of the fly with one boot, and use the back of the fly's wings, to remove your boot with the other foot. That might explain why one of the legs is missing, maybe to much pressure. Cast Iron Fly has scratches, marks, stains, and pitting. The pitting is probably from moisture. Dimensions are: 4.5" Long, X 2.5" Wide, X 2" High. It Weighs 1.2 lbs. I do not no the exact age, but I would say it is pretty old by the way the nut looks. I can not find a maker's mark. I can not find this exact pattern anywhere. Cast Iron Fly is in decent used condition. Good Luck, What A Neat Old Piece. See photos for condition. Happy to answer any questions. Thanks for looking.
